Dr. Michele’s Story

My Approach: Psychology Meets Leadership

Here's what I know: most workplace issues aren't business problems, but behavior problems.

The challenges people try to solve with business solutions, like retention, communication, buy-in, motivation, and productivity, only improve when you find and address the behaviors driving them.

I've spent 16 years proving this is true. I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology, a Marshall Goldsmith Certification, and a CELC Executive Coach credential. But the most powerful training I have is from 16 years of sitting across from leaders and their teams, learning to spot behaviors that create dysfunction.

I've coached executives at Disney, Uber, Salesforce, and companies across entertainment, tech, financial services, and nonprofits…almost always by referral. I've worked with teams who couldn't collaborate, directors who didn't know they were the reason people kept quitting, and founders who couldn’t tap into their true power.

Every single time, the root cause was behavior.

When my clients have a problem nobody can solve, I use real tools, like assessments, 360s, and proven frameworks, but I pair them with clinical psychology and neuroscience, which is why outcomes last, in individuals and organizations. It’s about identifying and changing behaviors.

I'm direct, warm, and I hear things people aren't saying. I won't tell you what you want to hear, I'll tell you what you need to hear to reach where you want to be.

Why I Do This Work?

I've always been fascinated by human behavior—why people do what they do, what drives us, what holds us back. And I love watching what happens when leaders finally break through their own limitations. When a leader shifts, everything shifts. Teams perform differently. Culture changes. People stop leaving. The ripple effect is profound, and that's what keeps me doing this work.
I believe in ethical leadership, in leading with integrity even when it's hard, and in creating workplaces where people feel psychologically safe enough to do their best work. That's the kind of leadership that changes organizations—and that's what I help my clients build.
